Victor Victrola for sale in Stockton, California

$675

The VV-405 was among three deluxe flat-top console models that were introduced in late 1923. These superior machines included gold plated hardware, a four-spring motor, and elegantly contrasting stains and veneers. The 405 was the most popular of the three, and its basic Spanish Renaissance design theme was utilized on the popular Orthophonic Granada (VV-4-4) when it was presented in late 1925. Ornate round turned legs, in addition to a lateral stiffening "bar" in between the legs are the key elements of this device's design style. A VV-405S series was quickly provided, which allowed the user (or dealership) to install a radio in the location that was planned for record storage. This alternative allowed both sides of the top to open (the top on "regular" 405's only opened on the best hand side), and added $15.00 to the cost. Other than for this distinction, all VV-405's have identical features. The 405 continued to be in the Victor magazine through the first half of 1925, however this machine was produced only throughout 1923 and 1924. The 405 is in an original walnut cabinet. Features 21 initial cds.

Kindly only SERIOUS buyers as this is a collectors piece.
